The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
