Automobiles in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities stated they were notified by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored liquid

Around 50 vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement report they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then located numerous other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say preliminary tests suggest the liquid was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in connection with the event," they stated.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A high-ranking official said the attack made him without words and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, recalling the death of nine victims by a assailant targeting residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
